They work in hospitals, schools, medical care facilities, nursing care facilities, and other institutions. Dieticians are also called nutritionists.

Some specialize in helping diabetics with their nutritional needs. Clinical dietitians work specifically in hospitals and nursing care institutions to assist patients with dietary education and needs. One of the most important things dieticians do is help their clients improve their lives and prevent further disease and health care problems by improving their eating habits.
