Sometimes, they are called digital multimedia specialists. Digital film technicians specialize in working with the digital  film production side. They specialize in creating, editing, and manipulating digital film that is utilized in the motion picture world, on television, in advertising, and even on the internet. Digital film technicians are often also skilled in editing and creating the audio aspects that go along with digital film creation.

The best college degree to have in this field is a bachelor’s degree (4 year degree) in digital multimedia production or film creation. Some colleges also offer an associate’s degree (2 year degree) and a shorter college diploma in digital multimedia production.
