immigration customs agentImmigration customs agents are also know as a customs inspectors. They are responsible to enforce laws governing imports and exports by inspecting cargo, baggage, and articles worn or carried by people, vessels, vehicles, trains, and aircraft entering or leaving the United States.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Computer Field, Accounting, Law Enforcement, Law, Foreign Language, or Similar Field (4 years of College)

As an officer of a federal agency, customs agents are required to have a bachelor’s degree and related work experience. They also attend a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for further training. Customs agents may also have to complete additional training and obtain additional security clearances to get hired.
