industrial engineerIndustrial engineers are responsible to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes,
including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or Physical Sciences (4 years)
Master’s Degree in Engineering field (2 years beyond a bachelor’s degree)
Almost every industrial engineering job requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a natural science, or mathematics. Many industrial engineers will
obtain a degree in mechanical engineering. Management industrial engineering positions in large companies will almost always require a master’s degree in business or an engineering field.
